Say 'hi' to Hot Green Machines, and 'goodbye' to the gas pump!

Your eye delights at the sensual way sheetmetal melds together in a way it only can when designed by a true artiste. Your mind recalls the perfect downshift, the best line through a corner, the perfect exit at full speed ahead.

Your face feels the rushing wind, your ears hear the harmonious meshing of gears. Your nose takes a whiff of the crisp cool air as you marvel at changing colors of the trees and a sky turning more and more crimson as the sun settles below the horizon.

Your transportation is your freedom, but you realize the freedom comes at a cost: diminished air quality, depletion of the earth's natural resources, and international squabbles over the same "black gold" that enables you to travel to incredible places afar. Already, you notice, the prices at the gas pump are a whole lot higher, your wallet a little emptier, and your conscience a bit heavier for knowing that you and your gas-guzzling automobile are part of the problem.

Welcome to hi-mpg.org. We are automotive enthusiasts and travel aficionados who also love the environment. We appreciate both form and function, all while striving to leave future generations a legacy of clean air, scenic grandeur and a continuum of natural resources. In addition: the freedom to drive.

In this site we present the latest news and strategies in regards to achieving high fuel economy. Our hallmark, however, is our advocation for Hot Green Machines. We believe that desirable vehicles and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive. Hot Green Machines are vehicles that we'd be proud to own in any case for wildly incredible style, performance, and fun. They just so happen to get great gas mileage.
